During my PhD at the University of Utah, I was the instructor of record for seven undergraduate mathematics courses and a teaching assistant for two additional courses. My students came from a wide range of academic backgrounds, including mathematics, engineering, computer science, and other STEM disciplines.

Summer Graduate School Preview Program

Through the weeklong Graduate School Preview program, I mentored undergraduate teams on mathematical biology projects exploring Peto’s paradox and how phenotypic switching helps microbial communities survive antibiotic treatment. I guided students through project design, background research, mathematical analysis, computation, and presentation of their results.

High School Mathematical Modeling Workshop

High School Mathematical Modeling Mentor · Fall 2022
I helped run a semester-long after-school workshop at the University of Utah for high school students interested in mathematical modeling competitions such as HiMCM and the M3 Challenge. Students learned to develop and analyze models using difference and differential equations and statistical methods, implement them in Python and MATLAB, and communicate their results through technical reports.
